Colleges & Universities Can Simplify Remote Video Editing on Studio Q

A Higher Ed Qonversation — Remote Video Editing in a Post-Production Environment in the Cloud

In the first of our Higher Ed Qonversations series, about remote video editing in the cloud, I invited some experts from Adobe to discuss how media and entertainment organizations have adapted to challenging conditions, the tools and technologies available today for remote video editing, and how all of this can benefit video production at colleges and universities.

Whether you’re editing video in a film school or in a university video production department, creating studio-quality video content has never been more challenging. Today’s students, faculty, and staff in creative roles require high-performance editing systems and highly scalable file storage to produce professional content. For Higher Education, the global pandemic has only made things harder – from closing down in-person campus labs and shifting to remote teaching and learning, to staff shifting to working at home.

If you missed the live discussion, you can watch the replay where David Helmly, Head of Strategic Development Adobe Professional Video for Cloud and, Jonathan Carrera, Strategic Relations Manager for Adobe Creative Cloud shared their perspectives and provided suggestions on how colleges and universities can enhance their video editing infrastructures to make things easier for their students and faculty, creative teams, and IT professionals as well.

We’ve had a lot of interest in this topic and requests for the video recording, so have posted it to our YouTube channel, so you can catch up on the discussion about:

  • how colleges and universities benefit from remote video studio options
  • the latest trends in remote video editing
  • what’s “game-changing” about Qumulo Studio Q
  • the four best-in-class software products in Studio Q

Adobe Premiere Pro, Teradici, Qumulo Cloud Q, and AWS QuickStart comprise Qumulo Studio Q on AWS. This post-production environment in the cloud provides leading Media & Entertainment organizations around the world with a remote video editing studio that’s robust enough for the most demanding needs, yet simple enough that students and faculty can get creative, anywhere, without added complexity for IT.
