Creative production goes faster anywhere with Qumulo on AWS video cloud services.
During the last year Qumulo and AWS have seen our customers in the media and entertainment (M&E) industry such as FuseFX, Cinesite, Industrial Brothers, and Raynault VFX respond to rapid change by reinventing how they create content, enable remote talent, optimize media supply chains, and compete for audience attention across platforms. That’s what last week’s AWS for Media & Entertainment Virtual Symposium was all about. Qumulo, an AWS Storage Competency Advanced Technology Partner, was featured in the Content Production track. The Qumulo Cloud Q file data platform is integrated with Amazon Nimble Studio.
Rapidly Onboard and Collaborate with Artists Anywhere
Amazon Nimble Studio, is a new video cloud service that enables creative studios to be set up in hours instead of weeks, with elasticity that gives them near limitless scale and access to rendering on demand. Animation and VFX studios can use Qumulo Cloud Q, natively on Amazon Nimble Studio to enable distributed creative teams to rapidly onboard and collaborate with artists from anywhere in the world and produce content faster and more cost effectively.
“Qumulo on AWS gives us the performance gains needed over object stores and the ability to use our highly-active file data at any scale in the cloud. Qumulo, with its capacity-based consumption options, allows our Line of Business and IT teams to work together on our digital projects without compromising on choice of how we manage our unstructured data or control costs.” – Graham Peddie, COO at Cinesite
Qumulo Cloud Q is a fully integrated file data management and storage option for Amazon Nimble Studio giving customers an agnostic file storage solution that is simple to manage in the cloud. Studios can unlock remote content creation workflows at massive scale across nearly every aspect of the media and entertainment data lifecycle on AWS global infrastructure with Qumulo’s high-performance file data management platform and data services that provide real-time visibility, predictive caching, and a comprehensive API.
The Show Must Go On: Qumulo Studio Q on AWS
To meet strict deadlines, creative teams rely on fast, reliable access to applications, content, and compute power. But when the pandemic forced them to work remotely, studios looked to video cloud services.
“Since we deployed the Qumulo File Data Platform, the game changed. The platform lets us spin up one thousand computers within minutes, not days or weeks. This advantage is just the start. We are confident we can scale to three thousand nodes,” said Simon Ouellet, Pipeline Developer at Raynault.
To simplify the path from studio in the data center to studio in the cloud, Qumulo partnered with AWS and Teradici to automate the entire deployment process through Studio Q QuickStart. Qumulo Studio Q lets you quickly deploy Qumulo Cloud Q plus Teradici on the appropriate AWS infrastructure to launch Adobe Creative Cloud and edit video on AWS.
Artists anywhere can deploy Studio Q simply by logging into AWS and providing account credentials and their Adobe Premiere Pro license. The Quick Start process automates the video cloud service. Watch Deploying Qumulo Studio Q with AWS QuickStart to see how easy it is. No deep AWS expertise is needed and set up takes about 30 minutes.
