Qumulo Ranked Among Washington’s Best Workplaces and Best Tech Startups in Seattle

The Puget Sound Business Journal and The Tech Tribune Recognize Qumulo’s Collaborative Culture, and Continued Leadership and Momentum in Hybrid Cloud File Storage Category

SEATTLE – Sept. 26, 2019 – Qumulo, the leading provider of enterprise-proven hybrid cloud file storage, today announced it has been recognized by The Puget Sound Business Journal as one of “Washington’s Best Workplaces,” and by The Tech Tribune as one of the “2020 Best Tech Startups in Seattle.”

“One of Qumulo’s main corporate values is to build a team of people we’re proud to know, and being recognized for our workplace and culture is a direct result of every single person on the Qumulo team,” said Robyn Singh, Vice President of People for Qumulo. “It is so inspiring to have such an engaged and talented team of people that share in our values and our bold ambitions to grow our company and exceed our customers’ expectations.”

For the Washington’s Best Workplace listing, Qumulo ranked #9 among companies in the “Large Company” category. The ranking is based on an independent survey of Qumulo employees, who cited Qumulo’s collaborative culture as one of the main reasons they enjoyed working at Qumulo.

The Tech Tribune’s list of the best Seattle-based technology startups aims “to recognize and honor the most exemplary young companies all across the country.” The publication considered factors such as revenue potential, leadership team, brand or product traction and competitive landscape in compiling the annual list. Qumulo has previously been included in the publication’s 2019 and 2018 “Best Tech Startups in Washington” lists, and on the 2019 “Best Tech Startup in Seattle” list.

Qumulo has received several awards and recognition for its corporate culture and work environment, its leadership and its technology innovation. The company was included on Built in Seattle’s “100 Best Places to Work” in 2019; it was also listed on “Washington’s 100 Best Companies to Work For (2018),” and was a gold winner for the “Tech Impact Awards (2017)” by Seattle Business Magazine. Additionally, Qumulo was positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant of the 2018 “Magic Quadrant for Distributed File Systems and Object Storage,” based on Qumulo’s ability to execute and its completeness of vision.

Qumulo currently has more than 250 employees worldwide and has raised $230 million in funding, including $93 million from a funding round in 2018 for the company’s continued expansion, plans accelerated product capabilities and long-term business sustainability.
