AWS re:Invent logo

QF2 for AWS is the world's highest performance file storage in the public cloud.

Re:invent was an exciting event for Qumulo! The live demonstrations showed how QF2 for AWS answers the need of data-intensive industries, such as life sciences and media and entertainment, to work with globally distributed data sets across time zones and locations, and up to billion-file scale.

There is finally a high performance, scalable solution for file storage on AWS. QF2 supports SMB-based workflows without EFS workarounds like dummy files or using on-premise architectures in the cloud (e.g. fleets of Windows/Linux servers). QF2 also removes the need to rewrite applications for object stores.

Explore the resources on this page to learn about Qumulo's solution for high performance file storage on AWS.

Watch a demo of QF2 for AWS

Create a fabric encompassing your on-premise data center and AWS with QF2. In this demo, you will see a visual effects rendering workflow that utilizes cloud burst rendering via QF2 for AWS.

Try QF2 for AWS

You can create a standalone instance of QF2 on Amazon Web Services for free. You pay only for the underlying AWS infrastructure, including an m4.2xlarge instance.

After adding the AMI to your Amazon Web Services account, work through the tutorial called "Installing a Single-node Cluster on AWS" or watch the accompanying video.

Get the AMI

QF2 for AWS can be configured to support use cases from active archive to cloud rendering and more. QF2 clusters in AWS have utility pricing that is based on hours of use, capacity and performance. QF2 can be used for free in non-clustered, standalone mode in AWS.
