Last year we experienced accelerating momentum at Qumulo. We turned in record-breaking business results, including sales growth and new customer adoption.
Our reach grew through our OEM partnership with HPE, and we began offering Qumulo in the AWS marketplace and on Dell hardware. To capitalize on the global opportunity for our products, we opened for business in Europe and saw strong results there. We were also recognized as a leader in the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant for Distributed File Systems and Object Storage.
Our message of “Storage made Simple” is clearly landing with customers looking for a better, more modern approach to storing their unstructured data at scale. Last week, we announced the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) as a customer.
Today we’re announcing two new sales offices in Chicago and Amsterdam to help us meet the demand for Qumulo from global companies across a wide variety of industry verticals.

Chicago is rapidly growing as a hotbed for tech talent. According to CompTIA (a trade association for tech professionals), the number of Chicago-based technology-focused businesses and tech workers is growing. Further, Illinois saw an increase last year in job postings related to emerging technologies, such as IoT, drones, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and others.
Having a team based in Amsterdam augments our European presence in Germany, France and the UK, as the team continues building awareness of Qumulo and capturing market share from the competition. Like Chicago, Amsterdam also boasts a thriving tech scene. Hubspot recently conducted a study and named it the best European Tech City to work in.
