Need Something to Feed Those Performance-Starved Applications? Qumulo’s P-184T All-NVMe File Storage Platform a Finalist in CRN 2019 Tech Innovator Awards

Authored by:

Exciting news from Qumulo! The Channel Co., publisher of CRN magazine, has recognized Qumulo’s P-184T all-NVMe file storage platform as a finalist in its CRN 2019 Tech Innovator Awards for Enterprise Storage. The Qumulo P-184T, which was selected among hundreds of products evaluated by CRN’s editors, is  on standard ethernet. This recognition from The Channel Company validates our efforts and relentless focus on improving our solution to enable our channel partners and customers to be successful.

Qumulo had the vision and the engineering talent to be one of the first vendors in the market to provide an all-NVMe platform back in 2017. Recently, Qumulo introduced the new P-184T, leveraging 7.68TB NVMe Flash drives. This, combined with the significant drop in NVMe prices, translates to our ability to offer all-NVMe file storage at the same price we were offering HDD-based solutions three years ago!

This means that organizations looking to move to a modern architecture in their datacenter (such as 100GbE network, no-spinning disk, and less need to replace drives due to lower Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)), have an option that won’t break the bank. Customers are turning to Qumulo’s NVMe-based platforms not just for high-performance workloads, but also for general file storage and SAN replacements.

Qumulo designed and developed our software-defined distributed storage from the ground up. One of the key requirements was to build a rock-solid, highly performant, scalable storage solution that allows for rapid innovation in both the software and hardware. Check out this blog post to learn more about how we were able to bring technical innovations to the market so quickly.

The Qumulo P-184T delivers consistently high performance and scalable file storage, making it well-suited for use in industries such as high-performance computing, life sciences, imaging, and media and entertainment post-production. It is housed in a sleek 2U form factor, uses 100GbE and provides 184TB of raw NVMe storage capacity. This performance-packed solution scales to 225GB/sec throughput in a single cluster.

As a 100 percent channel-focused company, our partner ecosystem perfectly complements our values, products and go-to-market strategy with our customers.
